Kelly Stainback-Tracy, Instructor, University of Colorado-Denver. Kelly has worked in early intervention since 1994, as a physical therapist, trainer, project coordinator, and technical assistance specialist. Since 2000, she has contributed to projects at JFK Partners related to early intervention, early childhood mental health, and professional development within the field of early childhood. She has experience promoting collaboration among public health, child welfare, early intervention, education, and mental health systems at the state and local level. As a clinician with the ENRICH early intervention team, Kelly provides early intervention to children with developmental delays and their families. In 2004, Kelly completed a mid-career the Irving Harris Fellowship in Child Development and Infant Mental Health and continues to serve on the faculty of the Harris Program. In that role, Kelly provides developmental consultation at the Haven Mother's House, a substance abuse treatment center for women parenting in recovery. She consults with child care staff, milieu staff and mothers regarding infant development, refers infants for early intervention services as necessary, and coordinates the Partners in Parenting Education (PIPE) Curriculum. Kelly's primary interests are early intervention for children at risk for developmental delays and increasing capacity for early identification and treatment of young children with developmental and social emotional concerns. She enjoys the opportunity to work with children, families, and communities to optimize the health and well being of young children.
