A Guidebook for Child Welfare and Part C Agencies
This guidebook will provide communities with a format for learning about Part C early intervention services, child welfare services, and how the two systems, along with other community partners can collaborate to improve the identification of Part C eligible children within the child welfare system.
Autism and Down Syndrome Fact Sheet

Care Coordination Toolkit
This toolkit, developed as an accompanying document to the Linking and Aligning Care Coordination Plan, is primarily intended for care coordinators and providers of services who are beginning to build, or want to evaluate their capacity to provide care coordination. Thus, the toolkit is designed to be used as a comprehensive resource guide when working directly with families in a variety of settings across Colorado. However, families/consumers can use this toolkit as a guide for developing expectations about their care and as an advocacy tool when interacting with their care coordinators or health care providers. Gone Through Any Changes Lately? (The slinky video!) (4 minute video, 2001)
Just Being Kids: Supports And Services For Infants And Toddlers And Their Families In Everyday Routines, Activities, And Places (50 minute Video and Facilitator's Guide, 2001)
Just Being Kids illustrates how supports and services for infants and toddlers with special needs can be provided in the context of families' everyday routines, activities, and places (also known as "natural environments"). Each of the six stories on this 50 minute video demonstrates recommended practices as therapists and early childhood specialists work collaboratively with families to achieve meaningful goals for their children in everyday routines and activities. Just Being Kids was developed for use in both pre-service and in-service training programs with therapists, early childhood specialists, and service coordinators. The video is also useful for showing families examples of this approach to early intervention supports and services. The 55-page companion Facilitator's Guide offers trainers, educators, and team leaders background information on the stories along with handouts, an extensive bibliography, and suggestions for leading discussion groups and other training activities to enhance participants' learning. Mental Health Consultation in Early Care and Education: A Resource and Sustainability Toolkit for Providers
The toolkit was developed in October 2006 and is intended as a guide for mental health consultants, administrators of consultation initiatives, and early care and education partners to develop and sustain consultation within early care and education programs that supports the social and emotional development of young children. Toilet Training for Children with Special Needs (a 2 hour DVD, 2009)
This 2 hour DVD provides an overview of practical toilet training techniques and core principles for success. The intended audience for this DVD are families of children with disabilities looking for assistance with toilet training. Curriculum developed by Susan Hepburn, PhD is presented as well as vignettes taking viewers through the toilet training process. The DVD concludes with a parent’s perspective on the techniques presented and words of wisdom for other parents going through the toilet training process.
